This describes what we actually collect, written in plain English. If our code does something this page doesn't say, the code is wrong and we'll fix it.

What we collect

  • Email address — only if you subscribe to the Frontier Dispatch. Used to send benchmark alerts. Never sold, never shared.
  • Aggregate analytics — page views, referrer, country (not IP-stored), and the events listed below. We use Rybbit, a privacy-respecting analytics tool: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting.
  • Contact form submissions — whatever you send us, used only to reply.

The events we track

To measure whether the site is useful, we track these events and nothing else:

  • model_fit_complete — that someone used the Model Fit tool and the fit class returned.
  • benchmark_filter — which filters are used (so we know what content to add).
  • outbound_click_moreyess — clicks toward MoreYess, because we disclose ownership.
  • email_signup — newsletter subscriptions.
  • decision_impact_yes / decision_impact_no — the feedback prompt on whether the site changed a decision.

What we do NOT collect

  • Your IP address (Rybbit discards it after deriving country).
  • Your identity, unless you give it to us via email.
  • Anything you type into the Model Fit tool — that stays in your browser.
  • Reading behavior across other sites (no cross-site tracking).
  • Prompt content or model output from any local-AI tool you use.

Cookies

We do not set tracking cookies. Rybbit is cookieless — there is no opt-out cookie because nothing is stored on your device in the first place.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of any personal data we hold (essentially: your email if subscribed) by emailing lab@localaifrontier.com. We respond within 30 days.

Analytics opt-out

If you want nothing tracked, install a content blocker or use a browser with tracker protection. Our analytics script will not load.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. The subject matter — hardware purchase decisions — is aimed at adults.

Changes

Material changes to this policy are dated at the top of the page and noted on /corrections.
